I am trying to expand my diet. I have lost a lot of weight and so don't worry about calories. I have been using coconut milk on blue berries. I am not for sure but think it is causing a spacy feeling with a numb yucking tongue. Anyone else experience this?

Sorry to hear this. I've been very disappointed by the Coconut Milk in the store, even on from the refrigerated section.

I got a spacy feeling, too, and also from Almond Milk - same additive concerns.

What brand? Do you have a link so we can see all the ingredients?

Does it contain any additives, even "natural flavors" as they are usually not natural at all.

You might get a can of organic coconut milk (NOT the light or lite versions as they just add water). Get the thick kind. Shake, open, put in a glass jar in your fridge and you can just spoon out what you want when you want it.

While cans don't thrill me, the lining of the cartons can also cause some concern.

You might get TROPICAL TRADITIONS COCONUT CREAM in a glass jar. That's even better.

You can also make your own nut milks. But that's too entailed for my energy now.

See YouTube for videos.

I use Golden Star that is sold at Walmart. It declares the only ingredients are coconut milk and water. I do put it in the fridge and it does firm up like thick cream. I love the taste, just don't know if it is the culprit to my symptoms. I know coconut oil is a anti-parasite and wonder if that is what it is.

Thanks for the name of that. Nice to have no additives.

In the fridge, I assume you transfer it to a glass jar? The can lining can leech out into product more so, once opened.

Yes, coconut oil has some antimicrobial properties but I've never experienced a sense of that as others report. But, it's possible that you may.

Food sensitivity? You might stay off it for a while and try back again.

For others, here's a nice write-up on that brand from an independent blogger:

Yes,I do use a glass jar to store it. I love the flavor of this one. Coconut milk and blueberries are wonderful.
