Randi, I have this as well, except my nausea doesn't go away, its just markedly worse in the morning. In my case it is related to bile reflux and gastroparesis. Do you know if you have either of these conditions?
I would also second what ipkayak was asking though. is there a chance you could be pregnant? I was pregnant in May and my nausea was MUCH worse then.
I hope you feel better. Jess.

yes the doc gave me nexium once a day.
after i eat, i feel like i'm choking and my throat closes up. morning nausea and dizziness are bad.
lots of severe stomach pain which goes to my back. both sides under my ribs. stools seem to be normal.
have burning and pain across my upper back all the time. worse under right shoulder blade.
burping and passing gas. have lost 6 pounds already.
could be the lyme also i guess...

Yeah Randi in my case the reflux and gastroparesis are directly from the lyme. I think the lyme is really attacking yr stomach right now.
I was wondering if you ever tried Prevacid. It can help sometimes more than Nexium. I have yet to find a lasting solution to my stomach issues though. I think the only permanent solution is to treat the lyme and/or coinfections that are causing all of this intestinal inflammation.

The rib/back pain sounds a lot like gallbladder pain.....have you had your gallbladder checked?
Pancreas or liver issues could also cause the pain.
Nausea in the morning - I've had this before and found Homeopathic Bryonia taken before I got out of bed in the morning helped tremendously...took it for 3 days in a row and have never needed it since.
Acid reflux - mine is from allergies and sulfite intolerance. Do you know why you have acid reflux? Yes, it could be Lyme/coinfections, but there also may be some other cause.

I had this very severe for 1,5 years. First months I couldnt eat anything during the day. In my case it was partly due to the toxins and food intolerance. Everything "spicy" and vanilla caused this as well as quark and other milk produkts. Maybe you have histamine intolerance, if so look for food you can tolerate. maybe you have sulfur intolerance then look for food to avoid. try to take binders like charcoal.
good luck.

Pardon me, but IBS is not a diagnosis - it is a symptom (and stands for "I Be Stumped" - meaning the doctor doesn't know what the cause is, and isn't interested in finding out).
Whether it is from allergies, intolerances, infections, neurological issues, etc., but it is that cause that needs to be identified and treated.
Ok stepping off my soapbox...

AMEN razzle-IBS is a wastebasket diagnosis if there ever was one. You are so right, it is a nebulous condition at best and it is usually given to a patient by a doctor who cannot be bothered to work hard enough to come up with the underlying reason behind a person's intestinal distress.
I hope there is room on yr soapbox lol cuz I am right there with ya! Jess.

Another thing to consider would be to get your liver enzymes checked. I had hepatitis (probably Lyme induced, as they never located the cause), and I was horribly nauseous throughout.

I go through periods of nausea (will last for a couple of weeks then go away) around mid day until dinner time. It always goes away though, and in the night and mornings I feel totally fine.
