So a lot of advice on here for me to get treated for babesia.

Just saw my doctor this past week, asked him specifically about treated for babesia, he said since I tested negative, he does not want to put me on treatment for it.

I told him about babesia tests coming up false negative, he said if I really want to he can put me on mepron.

I just don't understand , he said he regularly consults w/ Dr. B, and Dr.B treats babesia according to symptoms.

Would Mepron be enough to treat the babesia? I'm currently on biaxin, ceftin, amanadine, iv rocephine none of which is doing anything for me. I'm switching to Mino and augmentin, flagyl and amanadine.

Switching docs is also not an option for me, can't pay over 1000 dollars for a top doc for just a visit , not realistic, I like my doctor I just don't like his lack of treatment for babesia.

Do you have symptoms of babesia? My LLMD treated me for babesia based on symptoms even when I had a negative test, but I clearly had babesia symptoms.

@Manybites et al: Is Artemisin needed along w/Malarone and Zith? I'm on Mino, Cipro, Zith and Mal. treating Lyme and Bab. no testing on the Bab., it was at Lymetoo's insistence that I asked my doc for it. I don't wanna make it resistant.

Just know that Mepron needs to be taken with Biaxin, Zithromax, or Ketek to be effective.
