The only thing that I have changed recently is I took an abx break while I was sick ( recently resumed and no better) and I have run out of probiotics for over a week.

Could stopping probiotics make you feel worse? Maybe candida is getting worse?

Absolutely. Internal yeast makes me feel horrible. It also makes my herxes harder. I've confused it with lyme and company, but once I treat the yeast, within 2 hours I feel better, so it's the yeast.

Other things that contain good probiotics:

Nutritional yeast (that yellow flaky stuff - and, yes, it is totally safe for those with candida. It even contains Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a close cousin Saccharomyces boulardii)

Miso Soup - as long as you don't boil it. Put the miso into hot (not boiling) water just as you serve it in a bowl.

sauerkraut

kimchi

Keeb, my previous LLMD told me that I needed to be careful with anything fermented (miso, vinegar, etc), as it can cause yeast. I didn't know for sure, so I avoided it.

I do have kimchi and kombucha though (safe ones). I've been told sauerkraut with vinegar in it is not.

Thanks for suggesting nutritional and brewer's yeast. I had no idea.

Do you know if tamari is safe?

Yeast symptoms are VERY SIMILAR to Lyme symptoms. Go to the health food store if you have to!!!

Watch your diet even more closely until you get back on the probiotics.
