Anyone have experience taking zithromax and levaquin? Supposedly they both prolong the QT interval.
My LLMD said she hadn't had patients react negatively when taking these drugs together. Anyone take them together and have you had any side effects? Also, any side effects (other than the tendon possibility) from levaquin?
I've become a scaredy-cat after 2 1/2 years of treatment.

Dr. B. says people are not doing so well with such a combination. I dont know if he means the QT problem rather than because levaquin works bactericid only when bacteria are multiplying and zithromax or clari inhibit protein synthesis and thats what a bacteria need to divide. so a macrolid AB like zithromax could lower the the effect of levaquin. Maybe try to use minocyclin instead. For me mino works much better than doxy.

Doesn't Biaxin also prolong the QT interval?
Do any of you take these two QT prolonging drugs together with no problems? (I can't tolerate Rifampin)
