I need a detailed list of parasite drugs and what bugs they kill. I recently tried Alinia and could breathe better after treatment for a few weeks. It was exciting because I have been dxd with ALS and thought the end was near when I couldn't breathe.

I need herbal and prescription suggestions. Thanks.

Positive for Protomyxzoa but absolutely nothing else in Igenex

I found Albendazole stronger than Alinia. I think Albendazole is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic. I took it 2x/day with my abx.

Ivermectin/Stromectol is working much better for me at higher doses. Some don't seem to tolerate much, but I'm taking 15mg 2x/day.

When I add herbs, especially the common Black Walnut Hulls, wormwood (artemisia absinthe) and cloves, I will pass visible parasites, usually flukes.

I do best on Rx antiparasitics daily to my tolerance, and pulsing herbs at high doses.

Good for you for continuing what works. These infections require lots of trial and error.

Be careful, but persevere!

I would also like to add to those questions? Can you get rid of parasites without a prescription?

I think it is great you are actively pursuing parasite treatment. I've just been doing it for 2 months and am having the most progress of anything I have ever tried in the past (truly unbelievable results). I hope you get dramatic results. I certainly believe it's possible. I believe this is going to make me well. God bless.

I am on a rotation of the following:
Biltricide (for liver flukes)
Ivermectin (broad spectrum)
Pyrantel (pinworm, roundworm)
Albendazole (broad spectrum)
Alinia (protozoas)

As far as herbs, Dr. K likes Mimosa Pudica the best.

Wishing you the best,
Tammy

Hi Tammy,

Did you do any parasite testing before embarking on the Dr K regime or does he prescribe on the assumption that parasites are part of the problem for everyone?

My diagnosis was based on his ART testing.

Since Dr. K speaks so extensively about the need to treat for parasites, I think he's found it is a problem in just about all of his patients. He often says one of the first things he does for his patients is "deworm them".

From the times I went out to his clinic, having conversations with everyone in the waiting room and IV room, EVERYONE I spoke with had parasites. I think we all do.

My LLNP doesn't treat for parasites unless they show up on a test (bummer).

I know those things can be in other areas of the body other than just the digestive tract. I am hoping they show up.

I wonder if there is anything I can take before I do the test to force the bugs out enough to show up on my test?

Most parasite tests are useless . Do note however that a Harvard study found a majority of CFS patients ( Dr Lawrence Klapow ) infected with LUNGWORM . Also , ticks studied by Dr Eva Sapi and Dr Burgdorfer contained a parasite called filaria . It is reasonable to pursue parasites as a cause of our chronic illness , and aep when we consider that our conditions rarely are cured by years of multiple ABX .

I am currently on Ivermectin for the Fry protozoa, but can only handle 1/2 3mg. pill daily. I started out at 1/4 pill every-other-day and ramped up.

It varies greatly on what dosage is tolerable. Also, binding daily is critical(I use charcoal or I can feel the toxin side effects.

Hoping you have found the answer to your recovery and leaving behind your diagnosis.

Parasites and larvae can be anywhere, including the brain. Dr. K. published his opinion on parasite treatment officially in 2004. But I know from my own treatment under his guidance that he considered parasite a problem along with Lyme before the turn of the century.

The types and timing of pharmaceuticals are chosen with the specific aim in mind - some parasites respond to certain meds, others respond to others. Some meds can safely be taken longterm, others should not. This is why the meds are tested and prescribed in a certain manner. He does not recommend the common herbals because it takes years to eradicate some parasites, if at all, and it delays the healing of other problems and depletes the body for even a longer time. There is a reason for his thinking the way he does.

It has been Dr. K.'s philosophy and mine because I learned living it -- that when people have heavy metal toxicity, the immune system allows, cultivates, grooms foreign bugs in us, allows them to grow, with the intent that the microorganisms now bind the metals which otherwise would destroy the human cells, the human cells being highly evolved and highly vulnerable. These are his words of many years ago.

And once you start wiping out parasites, watch out for the metals to start dumping. Be alert to that!

Only Albendazole and Alinia cross the Blood Brain Barrier.

Parasites are changing their appearances as we sit here and talk about it. They are determined to survive!
