I have read in at least two places now that tetracyclines may inhibit the effectiveness of Flagyl, but my LLMD has me on both Flagyl and minoclycline.

Does anyone know if this info is correct and up to date? Or do LLMDs now say it is ok to take both?

thanks!

I've never heard of this and no interactions show up for Doxy and Flagyl (for instance). I am taking both right now & I would know if it did based upon my symptoms.

Take away Doxy and Biaxin and I get very clear cut symptoms and I know I am heading in the wrong direction.

Not too long ago I took Rifampin with Doxy and Biaxin and I saw a decline and a reversal of symptoms, almost in the same order that they had gone away in. When I look at interactions between Rifampin and Doxy with Biaxin, it lowers both. No wonder I declined rapidly.
