Anyone else experience this?
The hot flashes sometime produce a sticky sweat. I can feel them coming on...from inside. Chills and hot flashes are random throughout each day and night...sometimes worse than others.
Low temp in evening...97.3
I am also 49 years old and suddenly stopped having a monthly cycle 2 years ago after dealing with lyme & co for 1 year.
I treated babs for 18 months and never had any chills at all while on treatment. Sweats from babs were gone for months before stopping treatment.
I have been taking Rifampin and Doxy for 5 months with hot flashes and chills the entire time.
Please help before I go insane!

I have chills and sweats from doxy/rifampin as well. My period has also stopped on this combo (I'm in my 20's).

Chills and sweats are babs for me. I took doxy and rifampin too. Once you treat one co infection, another one eventually pops up, so for me the chills and sweats came back. NP said it was babs.

Rifampin will clear hormones from the liver QUICKLY.
So if one has a tendency toward hypo-thyroid expect T3 to be even more unavailable to the body.
And anything else your supplementing as medication will clear faster too (not to anti-seizures, sleep meds, hormone therapy, etc)

True for me three. Every time I've gone after Bart, Babs has come out. Treating these infections is like a never ending game of whack-a-mole....

OMG! I treated babs 18 months before switching to bart treatment. I am herxing daily from Rifampin, doxy and Tindamax.
Please, dear God, don't tell me babs has come back! I can't take it.
I have also been rifing for babs(daily)to prevent relapse and not feeling any effects from that. So, if this is babs, then rifing definitely doesn't work for me.
Will this ever end??
