Hi, everyone,

No particular purpose to this post, just felt like sharing.

I've been treating for FL 1953 w/ Botanifuge, an herbal supplement, since December. This supplement has been very effective for me. I started at one capsule every other day and was knocked out practically instantly. I've now worked up to 9 capsules/day.

In February, I had a HUGE herx. So huge that I just had to go off the supplement for about two weeks to let it abate. I then went back on the supplement.

In early April I caught a cold, and, by late April, I still had the cold. My dr and I figured there was so much dead cellular matter in me from the dieoff that my body couldn't clear both the cold and the dead matter. I went off the Botanifuge again so that I could get over the cold. (I was in a wedding and couldn't very well stand up there sneezing and coughing!)

I went back on the supplement in May, and, all of a sudden, I started releasing all this yeast. I was just so yeasty again! (I've had a struggle with yeast for several years.) I posted a message on here about what was going on, and someone wrote in that the Botanifuge might be breaking down the biofilm and, in turn, releasing the yeast, but, silly me, I remained convinced that my yeast was getting worse.

Well, the kind poster was right. What happened was exactly what we wanted to have happen. Some biofilm broke down, and a BUNCH of yeast was released. From about mid-May to mid-June, it was just a regular yeast party! I even had to go back on the ACS 200 to manage it. It was crazy.

Since that yeast has been released, it died, which caused herxing. Now that it's gone and dead, I think my immune system is even stronger, so it's going after whatever other bugs are in there, and I'm herxing up a storm.

My body just *inflames.* Ugh. If I'm not treating, I actually feel *fine*, but when I treat and herx, I just feel awful. [Frown] I get migraines and muscle fatigue and general fatigue, plus stomach pain.

Would chlorella help with this situation? I want to purge my body of the buggers, but I just hate herxing.

How much crud is IN there, anyway?? It just seems crazy. My Fry smears show improvement, but there still just seems to be so much stuff in there! How long is this going to take?

Thanks, all, just mostly needed to get that out.

Love to all!

I can relate to what you're experiencing. I feel pretty well too, but the medication and toxins are what make me feel bad.

I too have Protomyxoa Rheumatica and am treating with babesia drugs and now Ivermectin. A year ago, my Fry smear showed few biofilm communities, and my most recent showed none. It may be that the blood sample did not pick up any biofilm but it may be that much has resolved.

Are you using binders like activated charcoal? I find that I can maintain feeling good when taking binders and on days when the toxins are dumping, immediately pop a few binders and get relief in fifteen minutes.

Forgive me for being so late in responding; I've had computer problems.

My doctor, who is based in Maryland, has me on Botanifuge.

I likely also have Bartonella. I have just been tested for that again and will see what the results are.

Believe it or not, I'm now releasing MORE yeast! It's just crazy. Of course, it's dying, and, of course, I'm uncomfortable, lol.

Thanks, baileypup, for the information about activated charcoal. I really have to do something for this herxing; I keep having to go off the Botanifuge to mitigate the herxing, but then I'm not making forward progress, either.

How much charcoal do you take?

Thank you!!

I have a suggestion that has helped me with detox esp breathing . Sometimes with herxing I feel I have been literally breathing toxic mold . My head aches , I feel lousy and achey and sometimes do not breathe well . The thing that has helped me lately is an antifungal capsule. It is oil of oregano . I am using solaray , but there are others . This one is mild and I can take 3 capsules . The brand I used to take was so strong I could only take one . Give it a try . It seems to help with yeast and kills a variety of pathogens.
