I went to a ND about three months ago and I tested positive for lyme on his machines. I have been on some detox homeopathic drops, colloidial silver hydrosol, and bio-zyme. He said he has seen tremendous success with this combo and I have talked with some of his patients and they all attest to the fact that he has helped them.

Well now I have come down with Mono. I got really bad sick on Sunday, went to the doctor on Monday, and my bloodwork came back today positive. I just feel like screaming!!

I have added Monolaurin to my regimen in hopes of getting this under control quicker. Does anybody have any other suggestions as to what else to take?

My family lives with my parents because my Mom has Alzheimer's. I have a teenager with chronic lyme who is on IV abx. I take care of the running of the house and my sick family members. This is NOT a good thing for me to be so sick. All I want to do is sleep and I really need to at least be able to do the laundry and cook.

It could be that the undertreated Lyme (??) has allowed the EBV virus to come forward. I suspect it's been in your system longer than just now.

When you get Lyme under control, the "mono" should go away. If it's really bad, there are anti-virals you can take.

Hope you feel better soon!!! I had this when I was 17.. it was an early signal that I had Lyme, but no one knew that.

Lauricidin pellets will beat the EBV back. You have to build up gradually though. I now take a scoop a day, but there was a time I could barely tolerate 1 pellet.

I take Lauricidin continually. It doesn't help with the cold viruses, but it helps prevent the flu viruses and stomach viruses. I worked in a school and I didn't catch anything last school year.

I had mono when I was 5 yrs old. The EBV titers reactivated with Lyme. Lauricidin keeps it down.

I actually take three scoops per day of the monolaurin. I am wondering now if that is too much and it is making me sicker. I think I will back off.

Thanks manybites, I will check that out.

My EBV titers were extremely high last year when I asked them to check me for lyme, but it was IGG and not IGM so they said it was a past infection.

This is the first time anybody has ever cared enough to check me for mono.

So, is the EBV and mono the same thing? If so, I guess I am just having a reactivation.

I had mono/EBV as a teen and recurrent mono/EBV a few years ago before I was properly diagnosed with lyme. It took many weeks for me to recover, but I wasn't taking anything other than vitamins.
