Oral antibiotics, teasel root, curcumin...

Is there anything else to try? I have asked this before, but I'm desperate for some other ideas!

I would LOVE to be able to be able to walk long distances and even run again. I guess I may be setting my hopes too high and expecting too much, considering how destructive Lyme can be...

But you never defeat anything if you don't try, and you can't try without hope.

You could try seeing if a red light gadget could take down the intensity of pain - it's 660nm red light, and we hold the tool and move it over the painful area. It can reduce my pain almost all the way down.

I don't know how many companies make them - I have a single-light one called Light Shaker, made by Light Energy - that company also makes a three-light shaker, and multi-light wands. No financial affiliation.

I used a SOTA Magnetic Pulser to fix the pain in my knee.
Of course, there are many reasons why a knee could hurt...do you have a diagnosis?

Later I got an LED light therapy unit, the SOTA LightWorks.
This has been fabulous for healing wounds and reducing pain and inflammation on any part of the body.

The SOTA site offers a 30 day guarantee, and you can google for a discount coupon.
There are also vendors at eBay and at Amazon.

I know there are other manufacturers, but this is the one I have experience with.

migratory arthritis from Lyme & Co's.

It's a huge bummer....Mine seems to be Babs ,not sure.

Will go away for day's or weeks and then show up...Some of the meds or supps help,, BUT ,I don't know which one is??

So many issues and items in protocol..

I have some Volteran, which is almost gone. I got it when I could still travel ( those darn steroid shots)
traveling/over counter ..works with just a dab,...

It's now here ,but need script and they should be able to order it/different name I think..

Mine was made at a Walgreen's,but half strength

My knee pain was protomyxzoa rheumatic which causes RA. I got stabbing knee pain and sometimes I was limping for days. Treating protmyxzoa took it away but I get twinges of it now and then when I am pulsing invermectin more infrequently.

The low fat vegan (ish) diet is important to inhibit the growth of protomyxzoa.

I am also taking Low Dose Naltrexone which halts auto immune attacks such as RA. And I am taking methyl cycle mutation supplements to restore function.

You could easily experiment to see if protomxyzoa is affecting your joints. It causes joint and bone pain as well as insomnia, urinary track problems and fatigue. You can buy ivermectin at the feed store and the diet is cheap and healthy. I noticed an improvement very quickly.

Another good thing to try, depending on what's wrong with the joint, is Hyaluronic acid.

This lubricates the joints...you can also get injections of it into the joint, but oral is cheaper, and over the counter.

Just reading reviews from people who have used it is inspiring.

My Mom likes Pomology Joint Formula and Young Living's BLM (bones ligaments muscle) formula for her joints.

My DH likes Cod Liver Oil (Omega-3's) & MSM for his joints (destroyed from years of prednisone for his allergies/asthma).

I like Buhner's recommended Nettle leaf powder (he recommends 1200mg/day; I take 1 teaspoon of the bulk organic nettle leaf powder daily).

Thanks for the ideas, everyone.

I didn't realize there could be so many variants on knee pain or causes of it. I wonder if I can find a doctor who would be willing to do more than poke it and say "Oh you have runner's knee. Just stop running."

I didn't trust his diagnosis because my knee swells up all the time (even when I didn't run for 6 months), and the pain was like the pain in my elbows and ankles. At its worst, it would be all the major joints on the left side of my body. I just don't think that's runner's knee.

Does anyone know what is needed to get a more certain diagnosis? MRI? blood test?

Mine was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis. They did a blood test. Also was diagnosed with Firbomyalgia.

The knee pain was hoorid. I can remember rubbing it and explaining it felt like I owed someone money and they hammered my knee. LOL. They did an MRI and did see the beginning of RA and some other stuff. I can look it up if you like, PM me.
Naproxen helped, but can't take it a lot cause of the liver.
I know the pain you are describing, it did eventually lessen, with abx and time.
Gentle hugs

If there is fluid on the knee they can test it for Lyme. But you probably already know that.

Ask for an MRI.
