HI! can barely type this,,,just a rotten day..
just missed standing appt with RA doc,,,

was at 5 and still couldn't pull in together to go.

started am around 10 feeling like mini popcorns were popping under skin.. total flat fatigue, gut hurts.. left side by rib/spleen hurtss...

thought I could work it off some how and pull myself together for appt.

It just got worse, spine started hurting, anxious hit like a bullet, had to plug ears, cause any noise is hard to handle. jaw hurts...

can't leave bed except the 6 ft. run to bathroom.

tingles.I could go on ...can't eat..need meds..

WHAT can help the really crappy days?///

Sleep. Extra hydration. Glutathione (this is a big help for me)! Hot packs on the joints.

My doctor recommends alka seltzer Gold. Take it a couple hours away from your antibiotics. I find it somewhat helpful but difficult to do so I never take it...

A fresh lemon squeezed into water is also helpful for herxes. Drink it with a straw so it doesn't damage your teeth.

Try getting a good long sweat going in an epsom salt bath. Decent way to flush the icky stuff out.

Sleep is number one on the list.

Are you getting to bed by 10 pm, all lights out?

that really makes a difference, even if sleep does not happen for a while.

Herxheimer reaction (from 2010 Lyme Conference, Dr. H):

Take-home message: DETOXIFY YOUR LYME PATIENTS!

It does NOT matter what antibiotic you give people, they will NOT get better without detoxification

For Herxheimer reactions: 2 Alka-Selzer Gold (no aluminum) in 8 ounces of water with lemon or lime followed by 6-8 capsules of glutathione or 1500 mg of oral liposomal glutathione.

70% will feel better in hours

On the topic of water: Dilution is the solution to pollution. This suggests that in order to help our bodies detoxify, we must drink more water

Temazepam for sleep is what works for me. Ambien never worked for me and only cause me to feel like I was going out of my mind.

Alka-Seltzer - REGULAR version, not Gold version.
I've tried both and I buy the regular version in bulk. It's amazing how well it helps the nausea, and the body aches and pains. And it's because of the amount of pure aspirin in it. The other Alka Seltzers can have artificial sweetener in it, which is a BIG NO NO!!!

I drink tons of water... constantly am filling a half quart container full and drinking all the time. Go outside and sweat, walk and stretch and hot shower does it for me.

Ask Dr. for some sleep meds, if you can't sleep, your body won't heal. Hope this helps..

Oh yeah... and I have to say that a really good, deep long cry is sometimes so good for the body and the soul. And also know this that God is with you and He knows your hurts and pains... call on Him. He never leaves or forsakes us if we are His.

Bottom Line: Cry out to God!!!

You sound like me lately. What infection are you treating/What meds are you on?

Im on Mepron/Zith for Babesia and that is all. Thinking mine must be a Babesia herx. The weak, nausea, tired, cannot sleep, popping unders skin, ear sensitivity, anxiety symptoms are all things I am experiencing lately.

Along with a trembling/vibrating sensation all over. Not fun! I was practically symptom free before starting back on Babesia meds.
