I just moved into a new house and although I love it, I can't step outside without being absolutely attacked by mosquitoes on all sides. I have been bitten many times in the past week I have lived here.
what can I do to keep these mosquitoes at bay? I am also scared of what they could carry. I am on doxy, and I am going to do my best to stay covered while outside but I just can't avoid being bit while outside.
Is there anything I can take to help prevent further problems considering I have already been bit so may times?? Colloidal silver, maybe?

Have you called vector control? Usually they will come out and look for standing water and areas of infestation.
There was a natural product talked about on the site before, I will look for it.
As far as what to take, others will chime in. I would just suggest keeping you immune system as strong as is possible with all else you have going.

Taking large doses of Vitamin B1 is supposed to help keep mosquitoes away...
Also, if you can put mustard (yellow mustard, from the grocery store) on your wrists, back of neck, and ankles, this may help. I used to do this when I was little and it seemed to make a difference; mosquitoes don't seem to "like" me so much anymore, not sure why...
And I also notice people who eat more fruits and sugars tend to attract more mosquitoes...not sure if they smell the sugar or what...

Supposedly people with Type O blood are more susceptible. Try Avon's Skin So Soft bug guard and sunscreen lotion. That helps.

Thanks for the tips, I am losing my mind out here with all these mosquitoes and boy do they love me, while they ignore others.
I am taking colloidal silver and hoping that will help just in case.
Any other tips?

Have you tried apple cider vinegar, found that taking a swig or two daily helped alot. We have a WNV epidemic going on here, also using citronella and cedar essential oils.
