I read this as Reactive on band 23. This band is specific for lyme, doesn't react to anything else. Shows you have lyme exposure. Most expert doctors would diagnose you with Lyme based on that. This was our experience exactly (same band reactive).

I am unfamiliar with "Lyme Disease C6 AB" test but those results appear to be high or positive.

There will be others who respond that know more than I do!

Important to see a lyme literate doctor or LLMD as we call them, most infectious disease doctors are really misinformed--stay away from them. You can ask for referrals under Seeking a Doctor.

Good Luck! You are at a good place for advice.

I believe the C6 is the ELISA - a test notorious for presenting "false negatives" up to 60% of the time, and the "standard" test given at any GP's office if you are looking for Lyme.

There are some very good Lyme Literate MDs in PA, and you would be wise to consult with one ASAP. Go to "Finding a Doctor" and post your general location.

You have come to just about the best place for good info and support regarding Lyme, and I hope you will soon be feeling much better.

Hi Janmarie:

You will need to understand there is a controversy in diagnosing and treating lyme disease. I've posted some vidoes below to help illustrate.

Know that the WB results you have are considered negative by the CDC and the Infectious Disease Society of America treatment guidelines. Most normal MD's will not consider you to have Lyme, rule it out, and look for some other underlying cause for your being ill.

WB band 23 is a specific antigen reaction to a protien on the lyme spirochete. It indicates exposure and a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor would start treating you for Lyme and also look for other tick borne co infections.

Its amazing there is a controversy to this insidious disease and Ive found it easiest to show a couple of u tube videos on the controversy.

This is our Lyme doctor. It took us 8+ months, 9 MDs, 2 Childrens Hospitals before we started to learn about the controversy and find him.

He is a saint and I show this to help illustrate how MDs have been prosecuted so normal MDs shy away from doing anything but following the flawed IDSA guidelines.

Strange that the 41 band is negative. That is usually one of the first to be positive.

It is always possible that something else caused the Elisa reactivity (do you have any autoimmune problems?).

It is true that LLMD's will treat with just the 23 band positive, but it sure would be helpful to have another band or two. Most docs won't treat you with just one band, whether IGM or IGG.

It also would depend on symptoms... a "clinical diagnosis"...since some of the sickest people have immune systems that no longer make the antibodies tested in any kind of robust way.

i agree with statement above-many of the sickest lyme patients never test positive because their immune systems are so worn out. that is why you need an llmd they know how to clinically dx you
