Since it turned fall it seems like illness is everywhere and my toddler has his second cold in three weeks.
Earlier in lyme I never got sick but since taking abx I now seem quite able to pick up all this crud.
I would appreciate any suggestions for ways to build our immune systems!!

My LLMD suggested Takuna drops by Nutramedix and my integrative primary suggested Elderberry lozenges.
I have been taking both, but I have two little kids too and I'm still getting everything under the sun.
For my kids, I haven't worked up the nerve to give them anything "alternative" yet... so far have given them vita C and D.
Also, lots of hand washing. We all wash our hands whenever we come in the house. I keep Purell in the car and I Purell them as soon as they get in the car after being at school, a playground or anywhere really. And we always wash hands before eating.

- The goal is to not boost anything, so be very careful with any supplement or Rx that promises a "boost" as that can be far, far too much for an immune system that is sort of reversed -
- one part revved way too much already (searching for the stealth infection that it knows is there but can find because of the immune evading tactics of borrelia -- and the other part just exhausted (so boosting that further could spell disaster).
Modulation, support are the best ways to approach nearly any systems support for those with lyme.
You might go to the website for "The Better Health Guy" and search:
Garth+Nicolson, immune
A PhD, he is a superb researcher in the area of mycoplasma, has a particular supplement that seems to be good balance and immune support for those with lyme. -

For my kids, in an effort to try and keep them healthy despite the cess pool of germs known as school, I give them daily:
1,000 mg vitamin C, multi vitamin w/ decent zinc mg, vitamin d (in winter months) and a probiotic.
Like pp noted, for the younger ones, I scrub their little hands with wipes as soon as they get in the car at school pickup.
