- This would need to be discussed with your LLMD. A call to their office may be enough.
If you could also see a LL ND (naturopathic), that would be a very good thing for this. Your LLMD may have one to suggest.
If you can't find a LL ND, seek out a ND with expertise in gyn matters but most can help to some degree (it's just that some are better).
I had terrible problems for decades and, finally, a ND turned that all around.
In the meantime, search articles and books by this ND who is a specialist in gynecological issues:
Tori Hudson, ND (Amazon has her books but she also has her own website, I think)
her name at the site for Townsend Letter will bring up lots of articles as she is a regular contributor there.
[While she is fully aware of the complications from lyme, she is not a LL ND and does not treat lyme, nor has she written about it. Still, her detail is very helpful.] -

- you say it's a "a type of surgery where they remove the endometrial lining with heat or a laser." (end quote).
I would avoid that at all costs unless there is disease in the lining. That would be a separate matter, of course, to discuss with your gynecologist.
For symptom relief not connected with a disease in the organ, itself, this sounds far too invasive.
A ND can serve you much better, IMO and IME (experience). I had two "freezing" procedures & two surgeries done that were invasive, painful, and did not work.
Unless the cause is addressed, it stands little chance. A ND is your very best bet - along with your LLMD and seeing through lyme/TBD treatment.
Now, it may be that the procedure might be right for you. It's just that it's probably best to get another opinion - from a whole different perspective. If this is a good option, my guess is that a gyn ND would be right with you on this and be a good advisor.
Herbs cured my gyn problems totally. It took time but it was amazing. I wish I had known this from the very start in my early teens. The knowledge of a good gyn ND saved my life, literally. -
