I am on my second go round of babs tx. The first few weeks I felt ok-now right around the 7-8 week I feel awful. This is exactly what happened last time.
I'm wondering if it's the mepron, or just hitting babs. Or if lyme is coming out...

I am soo nauseous..more than usual. I start my day throwing up-

Anyone else get major nausea from Mepron? Or is it from the babs. Nothing helps [Frown]

Anyone pulse Mepron?

Are you taking mepron with a full meal and lots of fat (23 grams)? Unless I eat enough food or enough fat, it makes me nauseous, otherwise I can tolerate it well.

Oh, how horrible. I haven't had that, thank goodness, couldn't tough that out.

I'm wondering if maybe you need to bind at night to absorb toxins.

I would call your LLMD and see what they say...

Sorry you are going through this, beths. It sounds horrible and I would not think it is good for your body to go through this daily. I did not experience this with mepron. I was nauseous with doxy and rifampin though.

I would let you LLMD know. Perhaps you could try an alternate to Mepron such as Malarone. Some on this board have had luck with artemesinin, which I believe would need to be pulsed.

I hope you will get some relief. Take good care.

I had a similar thing happen after 6+ weeks of taking Mepron. In my situation I believe it was because of elevated liver enzymes.

That's one thing you might want to consider and make sure someone is keeping track of that frequently.
