Dear Friends,

I have been working many, many different treatments in my long-term handling of Lyme and co-infections since I got my first positive test in 2005 (thank you, IGeneX) after having a negative test when I first got the bull's eye rash in 1998.

When I found out about GMOs and the initiative to get foods with them labeled in California (Prop. 37), I jumped on it, and have been active since.

GMOs may be a factor that has been overlooked by many of us.

I note that there has been quite a lot of discussion of leaky gut, but the fact that GMO foods can CAUSE leaky gut hasn't been discussed much, just as one example.

Here's some text from a recent email, that includes a link to a free viewing of the excellent documentary, Genetic Roulette. I just finished watching it, and this is truly something everyone with Lyme (or anyone who eats, for that matter) should see. It includes what YOU can do about it!

By the way, Dr. C is featured in it.

Best,

Cass A

Thanks to the generous support of donors, and the need to educate California voters about the true risks GMOs before they vote on Prop 37 (labeling), we have extended the free viewing of Jeffrey Smiths new documentary, Genetic RouletteThe Gamble of Our Lives through the end of October. The film now includes options for subtitles in Spanish and and English (for the hearing impaired).

We are deeply grateful to Nutiva, Bragg Live Food Products, Kamut, Frey Vineyards, Organic Pastures Dairy, CA, EO Products, Berlin Natural Bakery and Sacramento Label GMOs Volunteer - Leo Younger for their generosity in sponsoring the film through October.

During the first free showing week in September, there were over 1.25 million views of this astounding documentary featuring testimony from healthcare practitioners, scientists, veterinarians, parents, and others about the health risks of genetically modified foods, and amazing health recoveries from switching to a non-GMO diet. The response has been incredible!

In the remaining critical days before the election, the vital information in this documentary is extremely important to voters in California who are facing a barrage of misdirection from the biotech industry to influence their choice on Prop 37 for labeling of GMO food.

Please dont miss this opportunity to share this potentially life-saving message. The Tipping Point of consumer rejection of dangerous genetically modified foods is within reach. Please help. Share now! http://geneticroulettemovie.com

It is in fact one of the most important stories ever told.
John Robbins, Bestselling author of Diet for a New America and Food Revolution

GENETIC ROULETTE unveils a world most of us have never seen. It raises alarming questions about GMOs, and we deserve answers. For all that you love, hear this message and act now.
Frances Moore Lapp, author of Diet for a Small Planet and EcoMind

Some comments from viewers:

This is one of the most comprehensive documentaries done on genetically engineered foods and their effect on the health of the human population. If you are a parent, a grandparent or if you are just curious about why all the discussion about food safety, this is the film to watch.

This movie shows absolutely horrifying facts that cannot be ignored!!!

I am so happy to see this documentary being made, to spread the word, because everyone has a right to know how they have been part of a science experiment. Thank you.

Genetic Roulette is packed with information. If you didnt understand the GMO controversy before watching this, you will be a well-informed consumer after you finish watching. Thanks to all the participants for so honestly conveying the message of the dangers of GMOs.

Something most don't realize is consuming GMO foods causes the bacteria in the gut to become GMO too. [Eek!] Then the bacteria in the gut that are GMO may start to produce pesticides. [dizzy]

We also have a GMO Labeling initiative in WA that I hope many people sign on (petitions can be signed at most PCC or other natural food stores, as well as many other locations).

Great thread! I was lucky enough to see the GMO documentary a few weeks ago with a free viewing. Still, it's well worth the cost of the DVD now for entire family and friendship circles to see and discuss.

Other links below are also an eye opener regarding "natural flavors" that are not natural at all and change our brain perception in adverse ways.

The short YouTube video inside a stomach with Ramen noodles is amazing, just amazing:

Thanks for sharing the vidio link. I've been fighting against Monsonto and GMO's for a long time now. I hope more people will hop on board and refuse to buy GMO foods.
