a pfo is a hole in your heart (birth defect)caused. their is a known link to pfos and brain lesions
lyme treatment is not helping the lesions any more and the llmd is stumped and i do have a past pfo stroke history and always have had migraines with aura and with out when i was very over weight i got ill with lesions
with the lyme treatment came me losing 60lbs and all the headaches and lyme symptoms left and the lesions were getting better but i was feeling so good that i gained back 30+lbs taking my health for granted again and with the weight gain witch can cause the pfo to open and could be why the iv isn't working this time wth out weight loss the the migraines and lesions both are back and it has my drs thinking
maybe you guys could help me look into it or any thoughts on it would be good maybe someone out there with a good spirit line to the lord could help look for input
thanks guys

I don't know about the hole in the heart connection, but one of the neurologists I saw told me that my migraines could have definately caused my lesions seen on MRI of the brain. The other neuro had suggested I had MS based on the lesions alone. She did 2nd MRI of cervical spine area and there were no lesions there, so she said no to MS and took me off copaxone. She treated migraines, but I've never had another brain MRI to see if the lesions are still there, or worse or what?
I have no idea how many are there at this point. My llmd told me that antibiotics would help, but no proof of that. I haven't had migraines in several years now though. I don't think the lesions have probably gotten any worse at least, if that was even the cause. I tend to think the cause is the lyme, migraine or not. Just like I think the neuropathy cause is lyme (or related TBI. Believe me they have looked for everything else under the sun to cause it and have never found a thing (only suggested vitamin deficiency as a "possible" cause). Tested me more than a few times for diabetes though, never found.
