Can I take Malarone by itself for a few days while taking an abx break?

My stomach needs a break, but I still have daily sweats and don't want to stop Malarone.

I think if it were me, I would try to stay on a macrolide with it if possible to prevent resistance.

I read a pubmed thing about you can build up resistance to it if taken alone. I wouldn't.

That's what I thought I had read as well. I figured that since Mepron shouldn't be taken alone, the atovaquone in malarone could become resistant as well.
