Has anyone had one sore leg or extremity? My right leg is extremely sore and weak and has become progressively worse in the past months.
Its sore around the calf and front shin muscle now its up and the the whole leg hurts. Not sure if I would consider it foot drop because Icant lift at the ankle with some effort. I have lyme and a slew of cos.
I know babs is the culprit for big muscle pain but this is only in one leg and I dont have sweats or a reaction to mepron. I do have bart though.
Its a bothersome because its twitching all over my leg, then again, Im twitching all over, no atrophy. It fatigues very quickly. Ive taken a break from antibiotics before I go on IV and that hasnt helped. I can walk but with much weakness and limp. Is it possible bart or one of the cos hangs in one part of the body?

Could be Bart and could be mycoplasma. The shin pain would make me think it could be Bartonella but I has similar issues including the twitching but without the shin pains and it was mycoplasma.
Have you been checked for either co-infection?

You're twitching all over? How much magnesium are you taking?
The Lyme bacteria uses up the magnesium in our cells, and causes symptoms like twitching. Also depression, anxiety, headaches, TMJ, sensitivity to light and sound.
Also, your liver needs magnesium to detoxify poisons, so low magnesium can cause a Herxheimer reaction to be worse.

My experience was that the symptoms were not bi-lateral. I had right arm and left leg involvement.

I agree with Mathias could be Bart and/or Myco.
I also have problem with right leg -swelling, numbness,"electric shocks during flare ups, it feel hard to control it while walking. These symptoms were much worse during first two years of the treatment but it got better.
Magnesium helps.
