I saw a blurb on this on Facebook. Is this just yet another scam for poor lymies?

Yes, I've heard about it from someone that was doing it. Visits rarely with doc(?), he does his work on conference calls with several patients at a time.

That's all I know. I did do some research when I heard about it. But I really wasn't paying much attention to it all. This person thought it was very beneficial for them.

A support group leader in my area tried this and it really helped her to get well. She is off all supplements and ABX (several months now) and feeling the best she has felt in years. It is quite amazing.

If you do a search on here about it I am pretty sure you will see plenty of discussion about how it is a huge scam. So I would definitely look into that.

Sick since 10/2001. Tested CDC positive for Lyme 10/2008 through Quest and Igenex. Started treatment 1/2009 with LLMD. Lyme, Erichilosis, Chlamydophila Pneumoniae, Q Fever, Strep Syndrome and probably a few others I am forgetting.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll stick with my LLMD who has thousands of success stories to tell!

I do agree that we can help ourselves most significantly in many ways....physically and emotionally. But I've made too much progress with abx to stop now.

The name has changed slightly for the company--definite scam. The man had legal charges against him, but unfornuately they did not sick.

Thanks for all your input. I will definitely use it when I am questioned about it. It is a fact throughout history that some people will take advantage of those who are desperate for a cure. But you would think that better controls would be in place in our world of high tech communication and so many lawyers.

I think we have to be careful about judging too quickly with this. There are people that have been helped by ACT. Lyme is so complicated and each person responds differently to various protocols of treatment.

For a Lyme support leader to have been helped by this is significant. This may not help you or me, but it has helped some. I don't plan on trying this at my current phase of treatment, but if I went for years and years on numerous ABX and supplements (like this person did), I might be willing to try. She did and she says it is like a miracle for her.

I know her personally and thoroughly believe her story. She is not trying to sell the program to me or anyone else. Just wanted to get this information out there - as what works for some may not work for others....

Anyone considering ACT should read the entire following thread...

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/103516?#000000

There are apparently members here who personally knew the owner of the ACT company and discovered that it is indeed a scam.

So this definitely isn't a case of people judging a treatment because it works for some people but not for others. There are legitimate concerns about this being a scam.

Wow. Quite a thread, Pam. So the woman that I know who has been helped may have been well and ready to stop all of her ABX and supplements - with or without the help of ACT.

Scary stuff that I read about him on that thread. He sounds like a monster.
