I want to get a bit of testing done to see if there are some things that can be tweaked and helped with supplements diet change etc.
I discussed hla and kpu and methylation with my doc. she plans on doing some kind of hla test but not the others. I left the office still confused.
I also wanted to get my adrenals and hormones checked and the only thing she suggested was checking cortisol levels.
I am so confused and just want to get a good idea of what my body is lacking and needs to feel better.
Can anyone explain the difference or give the names of the specific testing I would need to find out if i have a methylation issue and the kpu problem. what tests for adrenals?

KPU is some kind of mutation with red blood cell hemoglobin and results in a severe zinc deficiency, essentially. I don't know what specific test(s) are involved with this.
Adrenal tests needed: fasting 8am cortisol, DHEA, DHEA-s, and pregnenolone.
-tells glutathione and antioxidant status, fatty acid status, vitamin & mineral status, and toxicity levels (candida, bacterial dysbiosis in the gut, plastics/other toxins, heavy metals)
Methylation is the process by which a methyl group is added to something. Methylation is needed for energy metabolism, detoxification, folic acid conversion, genetic protection, nerve function, amongst many other things.
Poor methylation results in increased risk of aging, chronic disease, metabolic problems, alzheimer's, heart disease, stroke, cancer, autoimmunity, impaired detoxification, and many other issues.
Edited to add:
HLA is Human Leukocyte Antigen, which is referring to different genetic profiles of one's ability to detoxify Lyme and/or Mold toxins. I don't know what tests are needed for this...

Hemex Laboratories' ISAC (Immune System Activation of Coagulation) test panel and Hereditary Hypercoagulation test panel.
Comprehensive Immune Workup:
WBC w/ Differential (including absolute counts)
Immune Globulin levels: Total IgG (and subclasses), Total IgA (and S-IgA), Total IgM, Total IgE
Anemia Workup, if anemia is an issue (this includes Iron Panel in addition to the usual RBC stuff).
Eosinophil Cationic Protein (ECP) level, if Babesia may be an issue...
Labcorp's CD-57 ("stricker panel") may be useful for tracking progress with treatment...some LLMD's find it useful, others don't.

My son didn't test positive for KPU but had close to 30 clouds in his nails. He started The Core and a year later he is down to 5 clouds. That was our test for KPU.
