Okay CD 57 is low = 36 on IgeneX test.

she tested positive for IgG western blot (5 bands)

she has lyme sx's - chronic.

do these tests point to chronic lyme?

If she

* tested positive for 5 bands on Igenex IgG Western Blot

* has had on-going symptoms that match up with lyme

All that certainly points to chronic lyme

My guess is that were an IgM to also be done that some bands would be either positive or IND on that. Even an IND band is very telling.

The CD57 can be a help but I'd never put any stake in that and it's really not necessary. The Western Blot and symptoms are quite clear, indeed. Doesn't get much clearer than FIVE BANDS.

"She" also needs to be evaluated for other tick-borne infections.

Can "she" see a LLMD soon? Hope whoever this is, will be on her way to feeling better before long.

It won't change anything but I'm sure you want to know more about the CD57 parameters.

I'm not sure how to interpret a CD57 but there have been many threads on that topic. You can search those here:

yes she tested + for band 41 on IgM and then IND on 31 and 39 bands IgM.

we tested for all the other coinfections came back okay although she appears to have bartonella rash.

i think she will have the protomyxzoa rheumatic. she has those sx's.

we are addressing her mold issue we just found and methylation getting her body ready to fight. she is not absorbing fat and has 4+ fungus found in stool test. so have to improve her and prepare her before abx. we have a few names of drs here in az that are llmd. I also joined our local yahoo group. all of this is new - i was working on dysautonomia treatment for over the last year and now realize what it is caused from...thanks

Julie, can you tell me what lab or company was used for the stool test for the fungus? That is very interesting. I am working hard to get my insurance to cover some blood work that will allow us to start checking for mold. Can you tell me what some of the symptoms were that lead you to mold testing? I am struggling with something. We just sent in a home md test kit to Prolabs as it grew spores from our home. Won't have those results for a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, it sounds like lyme and company. The correct diagnosis for lyme is a clinical one. Blood tests just aren't accurate. The false negative rate is high on lyme, co infections, yeast, etc.

Julie, you might want to read the book, Cure Unknown. It's a great read and explains lyme quite well.

catgirl, i just received the book cure unknown. i think you are so right lyme and company. i keep looking back to her initial sx's of fatigue, headaches, muscle ache/pains and poor exercise tolerance 4 yrs ago at pediatrician. then there just has been this increase over time of gut then brain sx's then huge mood/behavior. it is all making sense now.

the stool test was metametrix gi effects. it told us a lot in terms of gut health. I consulted with dr tim jackson who can read the result and give you treatment. he is very familiar with lyme (cured himself). find him on facebook or on mthfrsupport.com it came back 4+ fungus which always means mold he said. it could be exposure from school and she just can't detox. We want to be sure our home is safe for her:)

Julie - I am glad you are looking at mold and lyme. My son was treated for lyme without us knowing about mold and he only got worse.

I was very sick too, but couldn't find a doctor to treat me for a while. When I finally got a doctor, he treated mold in me...and then my son. When we addressed the mold, the lyme was much easier to get rid of.

We got rid of mold, metals, Lyme but still had some lingering symptoms... we found a nutritional cleanse that addressed the remaining toxins (whatever they were) and we are both 100% well today.

--------------------
May health be with you!

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began.

thank you for the encourament. i believe we are starting a path of healing. it will take a long time but we are approaching things from healing stand point, heal gut/detox bad stuff, get methylation going, etc...so glad to hear treating mold made other treatment more effective.
