I remember reading someone here took GSE in place of flagyl, but I can't find the correct post. Does anyone remember who that was or what the dosage was?

I take about 25 drops . However , I had to start very low and work up. I would start with three drops and see how you react , or you could be layed out flat .

Thanks Ann, I took ten drops today and felt like garbage for a few hours!! Do you take it in place of flagyl? Were you the one who has a great LLMD who says that's okay to do?

I was taking it in the morning and it hit me hard. Then I realized I usually feel bad in the mornings anyway (plus, I don't know if it lowers the strength of my meds/herbs), so now I just take it late in the day. I started at one pill and am up to 3 now.

GSE is one of the few things that hit me hard as well. I was more concerned about it's effect on the effectiveness of Biaxin.
I started & stopped a few times and it did get easier over time.
Question is, does anyone ever really get better with GSE? Any proof of individuals who have improved? I have only heard of one person who made such a proclaim & he believed that it hit Babesia within him the best. Better than any other Babesia med.
I have seen the effects of one drop of GSE in a cup of water. Take a drop of this & add it to a blood smear. It destroys A LOT, including RBC's & WBC. I don't know if plasma levels ever get that high?
Maybe the mode in which it works in is to destroy RBC & WBC, exposing the parasitized cells to ABX in the plasma?

My LLMD recommends that I take 3 capsules of the GSE twice daily. I have the "Pure Encapsulations" brand.
I am taking this instead of flagyl. I can't take flagyl because I have severe neuropathy. I hope it's working!

Honestly , I do not have an LLMD . All of those I know who have lyme and went to LLMDs are still struggling . I use rife and herbs to keep myself functioning , but do not believe there is a cure for most of us who have been sick a long time . A cure may happen someday , but I do not know anyone personally ( just my experience ) who made huge progress with LLMD or ABX . I am sure there are some here , but none I have ever known or corresponded with .
I do think GSE is worthwhile and it definitely causes a herx . I would never start at ten drops ! I would start with three at most . Also , I bellieve liquid drops are more potent and much cheaper. I can see no reason for the pills as they are less potent and the liquid is so cheap!

I've been taking just three drops now since I'm on a little abx break. I have a mini-herx a few hours after i take it. It lasts a few hours. Anyone else have this experience with GSE? I hope it's covering something because I'm a little nervous being off abx. I also take enhansa which is curcumin and turmeric and is supposed to fight infections.

Our practitioner uses it to kill babesia. It has worked alone to kill babesia for most of my family after a year of mepron/zith/artemisinin did not work. My husband needed the Dr. K lyme cocktail on top of it since his case was so bad.
EDS testing on my practitioner's machine shows that it kills babesia. It also kills candida. So you need to work up slowly because there can be a big die off, depending on your levels of babs and candida.
The herx is normally a sign that it is working and the herx reaction should go down as you get the infection load down. You will need to take it at least 7 months and possibly a year to kill the babesia. We use Agrisept-L from Nutridiem.
I am currently taking 20 drops twice/day because I am using it for other infections. For an adult, you can take 10 to 15 drops in water twice/day for babesia and it should slowly knock it down.
You need to be aware that a lot of mosquitos are carrying babesia (and lyme, bart, etc) so that you can easily get reinfected. Many think that their protocol is not working because they get symptoms again but it can often be a reinfection.
