Ok, I need to know who has this, I feel like I'm being strangled. It feels like someone is pushing down in my throat and voice box. I can't take it anymore. I can't sleep, I can't eat. A year into treatment and this is where it got me.
No where, I give up. On top of the digusting excrutiating body pain. I've been in bed and can barely get out. This is getting unreal. How much can a body take?

I stopped all my meds, I was on tons, in the process of switching docs. I told office about this days ago , they don't get back to me they don't have the option of paying either, they just don't respond.

I gave up on all treatment for now, it's been a day and a half since taking any meds, so I don't know how long to tell if it's a herx or not.

On top of this just got bloowork back and my alt and ast are elevated and my nkc fnction went from an 11 to a 4, I could just cry, I don't want to do this anymore.

I tried ice on my throat and ibuprofen, it seems to let up a tiny bit for a few hours then it's back again.

I'm able to breathe, so I'm not going to the er so I could tell them I have lyme and them look at me like I'm crazy and me start crying and hyperventilating. I'm done with that, that stuff is gonna push me over the edge right now.

Ok any thoughts I would appreciate. thanks.

all I can tell you is that I get the throat tightness quite frequently and that it is UTTERLY awful when it hits...I also feel like someone is strangling me and has an elbow to my throat or something. In addition, I will sometimes get this kind of heavy numbness in my throat area and it feels like I cannot get air, even though I am breathing ok.... I really hope you feel better soon with all you have going on. Jess.

thanks Jess, do you think it's herx for you? I don't remember it being this bad until I started mepron? but I have so many symptoms I just don't know any more.

but yeah that's exactly what it feels like along with this buzzing. yes I have the air hunger also, not for now thank god, but that may change an hour from now.

I'm thinking the lyme is just affecting all the muscles in that area, but makes me think, how could I be on all these meds for so long, what are these meds doing?

Or it's the result of co infections that were not treated properly. who knows.

Years ago before knowing I had Lyme, I had this.
The only thing I found at the time was something called globus hysteria.
Low dose valium was said to be effective as it was contributed to stress. I did try low dose xanax and it did work. I had to take it for about 3 weeks and it went away.

As of late, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and that symptom also was/is present. It is listed as a symptom of hypothyroidism.
My labs were within "normal" range yet as I work up to my therapeutic dose, I'm seeing improvements.

Shannon, there is a doc not too far from you. The same town as the support group you were looking into.

Muscle and joint pain can also be from hypothyroidism. Often adrenal insufficiency comes into play.

thanks everyone...I took 15 drops of bubur last night that seemed to take care of it and it has not returned yet.

Pocono lyme-this could be it as my recent lab work also showed my throid off again.
