Hi everyone..I have been having a lot of joint clicking lately, especially in my knees and neck and back. It is accompanied by pain, but I have no other signs of arthritis. I sometimes wonder if my body is feeling this more partially because I had lots of injuries as a ballerina, which I was for over 10 years.

I wonder if the lyme bacteria gravitates toward our weak spots so to speak-i.e. previous injuries and the like? I know my LLMD has stated that theory to me before. Anyone experience this joint clicking and pain, and did any treatments (meds or natural) help you in any way? Thanks. Jess.

I had this is my knees (injured as a teen) and neck.

Zyflamend, an herbal anti-inflammatory, made by New Chapter, stopped the crunchies and joint pain.

I've read the same theory - can't dispute it or prove it, but I do know that Zyflamend helps. It combines pretty much all the herbal good anti-inflammatories into 1 gelcap. 2 for mild pain, 4-6 throughout the day for really tough pain.

Yes! I've been told that it is probably due to overuse from my 15 yrs of intense ballet training.

They started clicking without pain when I was in elementary school. I was one dedicated kid!

My LLMD has told me before that the Lyme bacteria are drawn to areas of current or previous injury/ damage.

Good Lyme antibiotics will help you the most. For pain relief, Celebrex is my favorite anti inflammatory. I've tried lots and this is the most effective and easiest on the stomach.

I also like Longvida Curcumin. Have tried many other brands, some much more expensive, and this brand works the best to reduce inflammation and some pain.

Sammy-wow, I had no idea you did ballet too...yeah, I was dedicated as hell too. I definitely had tons of injuries over the years from ballet. My knees and my ankles took the most damage and those are the areas that click and ache intensely at times.

Thanks again. Jess.

Thankfully my ankles have been spared so far...( feel like I just jinxed myself!). My hips and knee pain can be absolutely debilitating at times when it is flaring.

So I KNOW when my Lyme meds are working well or not.

I'm glad you're starting rocephin soon. It should really help. It was a good one for me. Gave slow, steady improvements with no harsh herxing.

Sammy-yup, ya just jinxed yourself lol...I am excited to know that the Rocephin was helpful and minimally harsh. That is really reassuring, thank you-from one ballerina to another [Wink] . Jess.

I'd avoid the over-the-counter pain meds with the sensitive stomach...unless you know you can tolerate them...

I like Nettle Leaf Powder for joint pain. Buhner recommends 1200mg/day. I buy in bulk and take a specific amount daily. Without my daily dose, my hands are unusable...

MSM is very safe and if you can tolerate it, work up to 10 grams twice a day. It really helps with pain like you are describing. Also, I use Thorne Tumeric twice a day.
