I hope so, because I clean my ears with it.

- I do not think it is safe but some do it. It's in some ear-wax "kits" but I've since read those are not really so safe.
It can burn something fierce, and harm tender tissue - as I found out a few years ago. If there are any kinds of tiny wounds at all. If any perforation of the ear drum, this can be harmful.
Call a local ENT and ask their office for their opinion about this. You need a professional's view.
From what I've learned, ONE drop of a combination oil is best. Just ONE DROP. Maybe two but never more. But it would not be H202, due to potential to burn. -

- There are a couple other good formulas similar to this. Always be sure it's in a dark glass bottle.
Most health stores and natural foods stores carry this or something similar.
Again, just one or two drops, never more. Ever.
More can cause buildup, it's really not necessary to use more anyway. More can also (if there is any perforation in the ear drum) seep into the ear structure where it does not belong.
If the dropper ever touches the outer ear, WASH that lower part of the dropper and dry (paper towel, not a tissue as they have more lint) before putting it back in bottle.
Each family member should also have their own bottle (because, really, can you trust everyone to not touch this at all to their ear?) and be mindful of any expiration date. Keep cool, away from heat.

I never have ear wax. The hydrogen peroxide often relieves pain for me. In the winter I have problems with my eustachian tubes clogging up. For some reason, this helps.
I have several ear drop formulas from the health food store, but nothing works.

- Well, if it works for you and seems to not burn, probably okay for YOUR ears, then - if you don't let the H202 sit in there but can let it run back out right away.
Still, it's probably good to just call an ENT's office, ask to talk to the nurse for just one question.
The H202 would be more drying than an oily drop would see - but the garlic in the oil can actually help "open" the ears. The mullein helps reduce swelling.
I just remember on ear specialist who told me to never use that - he may have meant for MY ears, given the problems I was having.
Would a nasal spray help? Saline or the Seagate Olive Leaf spray?
When I can clear my sinuses, my ears usually also clear. Especially if eustachian tubes are involved.
Chinese mustard, Wasabi, Ginger Tea also help clear my ears. Avoid milk does my ears and sinuses a world of good. But, especially this time of the year, milk can creep in and my nose and ear can tell in less than a minute (Sigh!)

Ok.. I will ask my family doctor. He should know. I don't have an ENT right now.
I usually let it sit in my ears for 10 minutes.
I like to use silver nasal spray and the saline. Not sure how much it helps my ears. My main problem is from the Sjogren's.
I don't do dairy and avoid corn as much as possible.
When I get desperate I use Afrin. I know it's not good for us, but sometimes I have to. If I use it, I'll only use it a day or two at most.

My peds doctors office uses a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and warm water to clean ears with a large syringe.
The mixture is 1/4th hydrogen peroxide, 3/4 water it is very safe! Even used on babies to help remove stubborn ear wax.
Lymetoo, if you don't already have a bulb syringe at home, then go to the pharmacy and get one (in the baby section). That is what the docs recommend for home use. Just don't jam it into your ear far. It is not large enough to create a strong forceful stream. It is just enough to help dislodge wax and clean your ears.
Be careful with ear candles, the docs have told me that they are not safe. They had numerous reasons that I do not remember now. Made me not want to ever try one on myself or a family member.

The hydrogen peroxide wash can help clean out your ear, washing away fungi and bacteria that might be irritating it.
It might also help prevent a full blown outer ear infection if one is starting.

- Best to never put a Q-tip into the ear canal. That can push wax down and cause buildup. It can also irritate the tissue and destroy important little hairs.
It's very hard to resist but, after some instruction, my ear doctors finally got me to understand the importance of keeping Q tips out of the ear.
A few drops of a solution or formula can be placed on a COTTON BALL (real cotton, synthetic will not hold the liquid) and gently - loosely, not tight - place in the ear for a little while. -

Good advice!
When I was a kid, we used to clean out the cat's ear with a q-tip dipped in H202. He had ear mites...
I read that xylitol chewing gum can help the inner ear to prevent infection...

Yeah, I did the ear candling on a friend & it didn't seem to do alot. You could easily light someone's hair on fire if you aren't careful.
I like the gum, too. I don't have ear problems, though. I had swimmer's ear when I was a kid. It can be painful... I always wear ear plugs if I go swimming now. I see some people put cotton in their ears when it gets cold to prevent the wind from blowing in them. I suppose you could wear ear muffs. Depends if you live in a cold climate.
