When did you start herxing from Flagyl and what was it like? I haven't noticed any serious herxing from it which is weird since I haven't taken any cyst busters all along.

I treated for 2 years without any cyst busters. Then, I changed doctors and he put me on flagyl with amoxi.
At about day 2-3, right on time, I began feeling sick. I felt sick for 3 days, then half sick for 4 days. That was my herx. Not bad for someone who had been on just amoxi for 2 years.
I drank lots of lemon water and was on the anti-yeast diet. So, maybe I detox well. That was my experience.
It has been over 7 1/2 years since I got rid of lyme, and 8 1/2 years since I did the flagyl, so I don't really remember my herx symptoms. I wrote down some things and that's all I remember was about a week of feeling bad.
I believe I went to work during the entire herx, but I may have left early on those first 3 days. So, it definitely was not anything very, very horrible.

Thanks TF. I've herxed REALLY badly on meds in the past that are not notoriously strong so I'm a little worried but I'm glad not everyone is having horrific herxes with Flagyl.

I'm on a lower dose than you Randibear. I usually prefer top doses, but with this one I'm not eager to push it up.
I am starting to feel something happening now. I am unbelievably sick feeling when I wake up and am starting to have a lot of twitching and random pains in spots that are not common for me. It's not unbearable though and I've had stronger herxes on other meds.
Something I think that's weird is that I am on a LOT of meds and have been for a long time. I have never had any GI problems on anything. I can take massive doses of magnesium citrate and still I don't get any GI effects. Why do you think that is? I'm not even that great about taking probiotics.

I don't remember how long it took, but it started out with the bottom of my feet hurting really bad..we had just gone ice skating that day, and I thought my feet hurt because of the skates.
Then right after dinner I had unbelievable fatigue, had to lie down, body hurt everywhere, flu like aches but 10 times worse and fell asleep. Kind of like when you have a high fever and you just can't do anything but sleep.

Yep, that's the kind of exhaustion I'm having, but I've had it since before flagyl from herxing on a different med.

For me I could sense the herx the day after taking it but it seemed to really hit the second day after. The first time i took it i did full dose and it kicked my butt.

I think my herx is starting. I'm getting pretty dizzy, pretty "out of it" and I wake up feeling horrible. I'm assuming I wake up worse either from a buildup of toxins overnight or due to adrenal dysfunction.

Mine starts 2-3 days after the final dose. Like clockwork. I only take it for 2 days at the end of my ABX cycles.
