So my LLMD gave me 1 day of Ivermectin to do as part of a Parasite protocol.
7 pills all taken at once in the AM. I took them at breakfast, swallowed them down, and then read on the bottle that I was supposed to take them on an empty stomach.
Did I just waste these pills?

No, taking it without food would kill the parasites in your intestines but you probably have protomyxzoa which is in the blood. I took it with or without food.
That is a huge dose though. How many MG?
Stromectol/ivermectin got me into remission but only the low fat vegan diet can keep me there. If I mess up I feel it. I became sensitive to stromectol and can't take it any more so I believe people should be on the diet before they take it so you get the most benefit.
It does have side effects and I got a rare one of making my eyes hurt.

nefferdun,
Wondering if some herbal antiparsitics might help keep any residual bugs away, or some low dose salt/c? Possible the infection are still in your system and showing up in your eyes.
Sea Salt is supposed to kill the cyst form of bb as reported by lymestrategies. Also is antibacterial.
I think I read a long time ago that Dr. K. advised drinking 1/4tsp of sea salt in a glass of water in the morning. Just would hate to see Lyme and co sneak up on you.

That is a good sized dose for all at once, although it doesn't sound like that much to me on a daily basis.
I would say definitely not wasted. I had thought that was most typically taken with food, and most of the time, I've done it with food (per pendulum testing). These last couple run-throughs in the last month, I've started to take it with food and also mid-afternoon and bedtime (5 times/day). Not necessarily recommending it that way, but I think it can benefit either way.

Hi there,
I don't think with or without food is a big issue either way. But only one day seems almost worthless to me. But at least it's a start...which is a good thing!
What is the rest of your protocol?

Thanks all.
It was 7, 3mg pills. So 21 mg total.
Did 2 days of Biltricide, then will do Pinx next, then Alinia.

bcb - if your doc is open-minded, perhaps suggest to follow Dr. K's recommended protocol: 2 days Biltricide 2 weeks Ivermectin (with Pyrantel at night) 2 weeks Albenza 2 weeks Alinia
If interested, I can look up the dosages. I don't have them in front of me right now, but dosages are fairly high. IMO, if you are going to treat, you may as well be at truly therapeutic doses (same as with abx).
So glad you are treating.
Sending good wishes your way.
