for quite a while now I have had a tickling itching sensation (basically feels like something small moving around) inside and sometimes right outside my rectum. I am thinking parasites but do they live in that area?

Yes, absolutely could be parasites. Itchy rectum/anus is a very well known parasite symptom.

ABSOLUTELY!! Pinworms are known to live in that area. Would be wise to get on an antiparasitic herbal clesanse ASAP and do warm water enemas to expel parasites. Read up on pinworms for added advice as to how to get rid of them.
Other members in your house should also treat as they can become infected. Other worms such as ascaris can also be exiting from the rectum.

Parasites can cause hemmorroids. Chronic candida is on the symptom list for parasites. They can cause havoc on the immune system and infect and inflame the entire G.I. track.

If it's pinworms, you can get Pin-X (pyrantel) over the counter at drugstores. Albendazole will probably also get them (prescription for humans, vet meds otc).
When I took Pin-X recently the organisms responded by causing more itching (I guess they're trying to escape?) I smeared the area with some ivermectin (horse) paste and that really seemed to help. It's probably toxic to the little buggers.

would ivermectin treat pin worms? I have been wanting to try it anyway. I hope it' s not hemorrhoids, wouldn't I notice more than tickling if it were that?

Do parasites come out looking like shredded worms? I did a water enema last night and have seen ALOT of these things today. Definitely not normal looking.
The weird thing is i haven't been taking any antiparasitics or anything lately because of feeling so bad with a stupid cold.

You describe exactly the feeling of having pinworms. Don't worry about some crazy rare parasite infection.
Pinworms will be visible in your stool, so if you did the enema you'll likely see them. Thin white threads about 1/4-1/2 inch long.
With pinworms you have to launder your sheets, towels, clothes in hot water every 2-3 days AND that of anyone else in your household for a few weeks. Everyone needs to be treated at least with PinX, or something like it. It's a very common parasite in children.
I've done Humaworm and PinX (pyrantel pamote). I also added the salt/C protocol to my abx, and am getting ready to start anti-parasitic herbs. I figure no matter what it can only help!
