i've been on that flagyl and cipro for almost a week now.

took it this morning and within 2 hours, i was shaking with chills. laid down under two blankets and skin is like ice....

no temp, bp 158/98, heart 68...

my hands and upper arms are brutally cold. headache, and yes some diahhrea. well not diahhrea per se, but small little stools.

my lower abdominal section hurts. course it's been hurting since november.

i absolutely can't go to er...

could this be a flagyl herx or something?

I started Flagyl several weeks ago and I'm having the same thing. Freezing cold, very weak, and since last night I've had severe stomach and lower back pain.

I would say it's probably a herx. I've been taking alka seltzer gold frequently for the stomach pain and some advil.

Me too. Did 3 day pulse of Flagyl starting last week and boy was I freezing cold -like to the bone cold.

I am on day 3 of my pulse off and am feeling like the herx from the 3 days on is hitting me really hard. Feel symptoms coming back from when I first got sick in 2004.

I dread going back on - this stuff is wicked but I am trying to push through it with alot of detox. I find alka seltzer gold to really help.

Is lower back pain the kidneys? Maybe there is something about it on drugs.com?

I was worried about that Catgirl, but I just had a chem panel a few days ago that was fine. I'm thinking it could be my adrenals.......

I wish I could have stayed on cortef/florinef. I was pulled off because they thought it could lead to full Addison's and it was raising my liver enzymes. I'm taking ashwaghanda. We'll see if that works. So far it hasn't helped for energy.
