It is strange for a GI doctor from anywhere to suggest Lyme, but the only way I know to rule it out is to see an LLMD.
They at least can put the puzzle pieces together to see if it is possible. I would rather pay the money to find out now then go 10 years like I did and then find out a lot later.
I hope she goes to an LLMD to find out.

There are not many Lyme docs in this area. Nothing screams Lyme, but Lyme isn't typical.
