I decided to try two new things in one day. Probably not the best idea since it is hard to tell which is doing what, but oh well.
I thought I would try adding Himalayan salt to my regimen in the hope that it will support my adrenals.
In addition, as I was looking at all the beautiful lemons on my tree, I thought I would stick to a lemon detox regimen as well. I have done the lemon thing at the start of treatment but never really stuck with it.
My lemons are quite large so I am cutting in half and doing the lemon drink twice a day.
In addition, I started by adding 1/2 tsp. salt to the lemon drink...think tequila shot with the tequila. I did this in about 10 oz. of water plus the lemon juice. I found it very difficult to consume....to salty.
I switched to 1/4 tsp. of salt in the lemon drink. Still nasty but not as bad.
I am only adding the salt to one lemon drink, not my second one of the day.
Is 1/2 tsp. or even a 1/4 tsp. an adequate amount to supplement? While my adrenal function was horrendous at the onset of this disease it seems I have made progress in this department, albeit slowly, and I don't want to overdo it.
In addition to the amount I am taking, does anyone have any suggestions of other ways to ingest the salt that is not so unpleasant?

1/4tsp is a good start. You can encapsulate the salt, but if you do that it's VERY important to drink a full glass of water with it to circulate the salt. Vitamin C is also very good for adrenal support. Hence the salt/c protocol.

Just noticed my Freudian slip. No, I don 't put tequila in it.
I have already been taking vitamin C 1,000 mg. a day all along.
Today is day four. Nothing earthshaking going on, although on day 2 my body temp actually read 98.6. I haven't seen that since 2009. Time will tell if it is just a coincidence or not. Too soon to rush to judgment.
