I am taking serra peptase enzyme . I am actually taking it for heart health ( artery cleaning ) and am blown away by how intense and miserable I feel. It feels like an intense herx . I have taken bromelain in the past without a strong reaction. The serra peptase almost takes my breath away , and I can only tolerate 1 capsule , not three.

Did anyone else have a strong reaction to enzymes?

Yes, I had significant herxing from lumbrokinase (Boluoke) when I first started taking it. I had to divide the capsules in two (shaking some of the powder into an empty capsule) and ramp up from very low doses over a period of weeks.
When I later added in serrapeptase it didn't seem to bother me.

In the end though, the enzymes didn't help my fibrin levels as hoped so I added in heparin troches about a year ago. The heparin did not make me herx, but it did make me feel a lot better.

For now I continue to take the enzymes, more or less on faith that they must be doing something.

Thank you sillia. I was thinking that I may have to take a HALF capsule as the die off is quite extreme . Goood suggestion.

It sounds like the enzymes may be destroying biofilm of some kind around a pthogen because the reaction is profound . I started the serra peptase for healthier arteries , but I am now beginning to think biofilms are definitely an issue. I wish this would lead to a better energy level .
