Wondering if I am the only one that would feel 50 percent improved if it wasn't for the head symptoms.. By the head I mean, sinus, ears, off balance, vertigo and 24/7 ringing in the ears .. When this is going on my anxiety is horrible.

When I don't have the head symptoms , as I call them, seems I am so much better, now my much I am not saying I am anywhere like I once was..

Taking Clindamycin, herbs/ supplements..

Yes, phyl. Most of my symptoms are auditory and in my head. [bonk] Horrible stuff. And I look totally normal. Nobody has a clue that I feel like I have a little egg timer ticking in my head with pressure/inflammation in my sinuses and meninges.

I have gotten a little bit of relief from recently starting cholestyramine. The tinnitus is softer and the buzzing is lessening. But that is not to say that the symptoms are gone!

I really still wonder about the thought that there could be parasites making their home in my brain and auditory canal. It does sometimes sound and feel like there is a tiny civilization in there!

I have had vestibular damage with hearing loss from lyme and co. My balance seems to be improving but I don't know if it is my brain compensating or if is actually that the nerves are repairing themselves with less inflammation.

I also recently started taking the herb, vinpocetine (recommended by Buhner). Not sure if that is responsible for the improvement as opposed to CSM. Anyhow, I will keep doing both. [Smile]

I stopped all ABX and now take Samento and Banderol. I think they are doing more for me than all the ABX. Also less ototoxic. It might be worth looking into for you.

Parasites can cause havoc and can make their home in the brain. Maybe consider some antiparasitc herbs and salt/c.

Tks. all for the info.. Yes, have been tested for babs thru Igenex twice babs and bart negative.. My ENT says it is a chronic sinus infection .. I do know the weather plays havoc with my sinus.. That is why I continue on the clindamycin and I do feel much better without the abx. but hoping if it is sinus/ ear infect. the clindy. will clear it up but have been going thru this for 12 yrs.. It comes and goes mostly stays..

Wish I had a doctor.. still looking..

Yes, thanks Gael. I would like to order the E book for Salt C and then may consider trying. From what I have read, it is a simple, inexpensive treatment and it seems to help so many that could not get well with ABX.

Phyl, in addition to Salt C, you might want to consider Olive Leaf Extract. I am reading a book about it and learned that it is a wonderful treatment for sinus infections.

It is anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitical! OLE may cause you to herx, though. You might feel poorly for 3 or 4 days, but then feel MUCH better.

Take care.

Vent away here. That's what we are here for. Please don't give up!

Have you tried the olive leaf extract? It has helped so many. Lithium orotate is very inexpensive and you only need 5 mg - 2 or 3 x day for it to benefit your brain and nervous system. This is just pennies per day. Both of these supplements are very affordable and worth the try.

Also, adding coconut oil to your diet could really help you. It is so good for your body and your brain. I know it is pricey, but one jar will likely last weeks for you.

Phyl, I know you suffer from tinnitus. So do I. I started taking vinpocetyne about 3 weeks ago. I think there is some improvement. It is supposed to improve the blood flow to the brain. Wondering if it might help you too.

Hang in there! [Wink]

I know it has been mentioned here before, but when I am around mold, I get that vertigo feeling, like my head is swaying, sometimes it is just brain fog where I can't think straight and can't shake it off.

It is very frustrating and causes anxiety because you don't know what's causing it. When I got out of the environment that has mold in it, this symptom goes away. This has happened on several occasions, so I know mold causes it.

I do think sinus infections can cause this too and sometimes sinus infections are fungal. I hope you figure it out soon.

Tks everyone.. Just having some real bad days since the holidays.. I am beginning to fear everything even leaving the house so gotta do something .

Have tried so many things , nothing works for long but will try some of your suggestions.. I did try Monolaurin years back for CFS and seems it did help some, I do know I had a rash on my legs and after the first couple of days the rash went away like magic.. I use coconut oil on my skin instead of lotion..

Maybe lots of rest will bring me back around.. I hate, hate this darn stuff...

tks again p.s. I did have mold and toxin testing through a holistic NP all neg.. but who knows.. Think I had mold not sure..I know she was surprised my test were all neg..

Have you tested your home for mold? I sure hope it's not a problem, it can be a pain in the butt.
