Have been on IVIG 2+ years. Prior to that my WBC count was always high. On IVIG the count has been in normal range. Until last week.

I just sat down to review the results after OV of last Wed. I got results when leaving IVIG. Did not discuss with doctor. I assume she would have called if she was concerned.

I have felt worse this past month than ever.
Could these changed results mean anything?

WBC high
Neu% high
Ly % low

Otherwise this latest CBC much like the others past years-
where the following always out of range:

EO% high
Neu# high (ANC)
EO# high
RBC low
MCV high
MCH high
RDW low
MPV low

Thanks any thoughts on this.

RBC low
MCV high
MCH high

-

not sure... I think that could be from babesia. Low RBC sure could be from it.

I went to a free-standing ER clinic today.

My CBC was back to normal (for me)with the exception of the monocyte # which was slightly elevated. Never had that abnormality before.
Odd that the ER CBC did not include neutrophils.

The night after the "off" CBC I gave myself a Bicillin shot. Wonder if that made the difference? I was planning on re-starting B-LA that week anyway - so maybe it hit or helped against something?

In ER I had temp 93.3. Explained that I have Hypogammaglobulinemia and Lyme and that I know my baseline feeling horrible - but past month have felt worse.

Was concerned about the CBC from week prior and was afraid I had something brewing.

(I had got to thinking - and found my CBC from a year ago when in ER. As suspected that was the only other time I have had WBCs and Neutrophils% elevated with low Lymphocyte%.

That was exactly a year ago - those numbers were worse - was given Rocephin which helped tremendously).

So today I got a Rocephin infusion and was given RX for Ceftin for two weeks.

I had intended to give second B-LA injection this week, but now wonder. Having had this curve thrown at me.

Some folks take Ceftin and B-LA as a combo?

I am thinking perhaps I should finish the Ceftin then start B-LA again.

Sorry this so wordy - when tired I cannot condense thoughts into just two sentences.

Thanks any thoughts.

To add: FWIW - At doctor's office temp was 97.6 with ear thermometer ie no fever - and an hour later at ER was 99.3 with under tongue thermometer.

An acute elevation in WBC and Neutrophils can be caused by bacterial infections.

The % of lymphocytes being low could reflect the body making more neutrophils in response to the acute bacterial infection. If the % drop is minor, your true body levels might actually still be normal.

Monocytes show up with bacterial or viral infections too.
