I do B12 shots every day and I love them. I've done many of them and 95% of the time they go perfectly fine. I do them IM.
Once in a while (like today) as soon as the needle hits muscle (before I inject anything) I get a very painful contraction/spasm that temporarily paralyzes me for a few seconds. It doesn't seem specific to individual injection sites. It's more like certain days I'm more succeptible to this type of reaction. Any ideas why that might be?
I also get muscle spasms OFTEN away from any type of shots.

You must be hitting a nerve. Try to keep to the few injection sites that do not cause that problem.

I thought too that it was a nerve, but on days that it happens, it seems to happen anywhere I do it. One time I tried it like 4 times (right after each other in different spots) and all 4 times it happened. Then I'll go weeks without an incident.
