Hi:
The neurologist ordered some blood work. One of them is an Immunoglobulin M and it came out high (301).
It also says "an apparent polyclonal gammopathy: IGM.Kappa and lambda typing appear increased".Neurologist says he will talk to a hematologist because he is not an expert on this and will call back. So far I haven't heard back. Does anyone know what this means?
background: i had a bull's eye rash 5 years ago which was untreated .went to LLMD one year ago and tests do not show Lyme. so nobody knows what is going on.
Thanks

Do you have symptoms that could be from Lyme?

Kgg-thank you for the information.
Sammi- yes . I have peripheral neuropathy and sometimes lips, heart palpitations, dizziness air hunger and some others. I have been seeing a llmd for almost a year but treatment has not started because I did not test positive. He sent me to a neuro-had an MRI of the brain.
Larae- what did your doc say abt the high immunoglobulin?

mariana, are you sure you are seeing a Lyme doctor? Lyme doctors understand that testing is unreliable. I am not a doctor, but to me some of your symptoms sound like Babesiosis.

Have you thought about getting another opinion?

Yes ,he is an LLMD. I guess he wants to wait and see what the neuro says. Neuro now wants me to do a nerve conductive test but I am not sure I want to do it.
