So sorry, Janice. You are also dealing with tooth pain that is probably contributing in a big way.

When I am herxing, I do a lot more crying. If things are difficult for you right now, it might not be a bad idea to try the Zoloft. Also, have you tried lithium orotate? It is an over the counter supplement that was really helpful to me when I was first being treated for lyme.

It helps to stabilize the mood and is also neuroprotective. I just wrote about this on a different thread.

janice,

I have proably asked you this at some point, but have you thought about treating for parasities/worms? They can cause severe stress and anxiety. Google Humaworm symptom list.

Janice,
Zoloft will help to reduce migraines and body pain, once the dose is high enough.

To help reduce the stress sensation, take magnesium.
Low magnesium can cause headaches, depression, anxiety, insomnia, muscle spasms.

If you are already taking magnesium, you may need to switch the kind or increase the dosage.

Fish oil with high EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) can act as a "blood thinner" and reduce inflammation and help increase bloodflow to the brain.
This will improve brain function and reduce depression and headaches.

Aim for 2000 mg of EPA daily.
Minami Nutrition, MorEPA Fish Oil, has 580 mg of EPA per soltgel.

(Some vendors at Amazon.com have better prices.)

I wish I had known about the benefits of taking magnesium and fish oil years ago.
Also, you need Vitamin D3 to help the magnesium get absorbed.

The tingling in your hands and feet may be neuropathy, or nerve damage.
Low B vitamins can cause this, and it's easy to take a good B multiple vitamin.

I found that a B multiple cured the numbness in my feet.
Then I found that taking sublingual B12 fixed the pain in my legs!

My friend Charlie told me that he had severe neuropathic pain in his feet.
I sent him some of the sublingual B12 that I was using, and that helped reduce the pain for him.

5-HTP is better than any Antidepressant IMHO.

Take a look what others say:

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientreview-794-5-HTP.aspx?drugid=794&drugname=5-HTP

Of course it doesn't work for me, but thats b/c my brain swells from treatment and it's not a real depression. That I can tell. When I hold meds, it goes away. When I hit Babesia hard, I cry like a child.
