Hi guys,

I am wondering what it is doxycycline is messing with because last night I took 3x100mg doxycycline (and suddenly fell asleep, which has been a problem for me -- the doxycycline did this; took the dosages together almost), and when I woke up this morning, it feels like I am missing something in my head nutrient-wise, and that missing something is also causing this mental-retardation like feeling and this derealisation-collapse (described below).

I have also observed the following in the past:
-Vitamin C greatly increases this feeling or effect and just basically makes me collapse -- knocks me out for like 2 weeks (complete derealisation, i.e. I don't even realise I am holding a knife in my hand, or that my room, when it is a pig-sty, is a pig-sty)
-Vitamin D has done something similar
-Hardly eat vegetables
-Almost never eat grains (no breads, pastas, etc) or nuts, and I am unsure that raw nuts have such an effect as well.

What can I possibly be deficient in?

Am taking magnesium, eating tons of chicken daily, B12 supplements, B100 complex seldomly.

Feels like too many fluids collect in a part of my thyroid, and it's a warm, itchy, liquidy feeling that corresponds with how my brain-psychology functions. That part of my thyroid is enlarged -- I posted on this about a month ago. All of this stuff is tied in to the above.

PMed you, temporarilyplagued. I had only read this post when I first PMed you, but now I've read some of the others too, and I am even more concerned. The same symptoms you described happened to me once I started a high dose of doxy- something similar with the eyes and the lump in the throat. You are most likely chemically sensitive, on top of everything else going on. I know I am.

I used the exact same wording to describe how my head felt- "like it was missing a nutrient"/"missing oxygen."

Shoot me a PM back and we can talk at more length if you'd like.

Lump in the throat could be because doxy is hard on the stomach (heart burn). Knocking you out can be from yeast, which starts as soon as you take your abx. Yeast makes me sleepy, dizzy, itchy. Vitamin C gives me yeast too.

Derealization is part of lyme. I'm not sure anyone has specifically broken that one down yet.

Feeling like your missing some nutrient is common. Lyme sucks many nutrients out of us, as do parasites. It messes with our endocrine system big time.

Parasites are a huge part of lyme. We are coming up on a full moon, which is their favorite time to reproduce. Check out PARASITE WARRIORS SUPPORT THREAD. Hitting parasites is key.
