i just got back from the cruise from hell, literally. gone seven days. did not get off in roatan, belize, and only spent 4 hours in cozumel. i was praying to every god there was to get me home. i stayed in the cabin practically the whole time. here's what happened.

ya'll know hubbie believes in equal rights. he carries his luggage, i carry mine. if he drives 350 miles i have to drive 350 or more.

so we get to the check in and i have to lift my suitcase, well when i do i get this awful, stabbing sharp pain in my lower left abdomen, right where i have diverticulitis.

by thetime i get up to the room i am practically doubled over. i feel like my hip is out of joint and my lower back feels like glass. i can barely walk.

then i start having yellow orange diahhrea at least 3-4 times a night, sick to my stomach, so i'm think uh oh diverticulitis attack. i start on the flagyl and cipro and they make me sick cause i'm trying to eat just a little with the meds.

i end up going to the ship doctor and he put me on bentyl and vicodin for the pain. knocked me on my butt and i finally got some sleep for one night.

we get back and i trooped off with my luggage and drove half of the way home from houston. man i was hurting by the time we got home. i took two pills and went to bed at 7 o'clock.

my back is not as sore but i still have considerable pain in hip. actually feels like the bones and muscles are moving around.

i don't know whether it's the diverticulitis acting up, c. diff, or i injured my abdomen lifting that heavy suitcase.

i was on nystatin twice a day before i left.

i know there's so much going on and i absolutely cannot run to the doctor right now.

he still is saying surgery, my family is screaming now, husband is just, well, out of it, and i'm caught in the middle.

god, i hate all this, i really do.

Hard to say, randi! I would guess the hip... that can cause terrible pain.
