I'm back to about 85% functioning, thanks to several rounds of IV treatment and about 2 years now of treatment all together.

But it seems like every time I get close to kicking it entirely, something lapses and I backslide a bit.

We tried to start stepping down my dosages (I'm on Zith and Flagyl now, so we just went from 3 a day on the Flagyl to 2 a day, to 1 a day). When I hit 1 a day, my joint pain started creeping back. So, ok, we move it back up to 2.

But since I started it again... my joint pain did improve, but it's like it brought back these other weird symptoms that I haven't had in months. Seems to be largely neuro stuff - dizziness, chorea - but also some muscle weakness and headaches.

Was just wondering if anyone else has had issues like this. That last 15% is just proving to be really elusive. I am doing what I can by being consistent with my diet and exercise, getting enough water, the usual.

ladycakes, are you just treating the lyme, or have you also treated for coinfections? I have treated lyme only to have bart or babs to rear their ugly little heads.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you are not done yet. These bugs are tenacious.

Hang in there, you are almost there!
