I loved alinia while I was taking it, but eventually couldn't take it anymore (side effects).

Cozynana....I guess I could have made that more clear. He wants me to take the Alinia and pulse the Art also.

You say Alinia was too strong for you. Can you expand on that please?

Catgirl can you give me some clue what side effects to look for?

Bottom line for me is that I've been on Mepron for quite a while now so doc wants to try something different.

Apparently the Alinia is really about the only other option that I haven't tried so I am hopeful that it will kick the babs but always nervous about trying new meds

Alinia caused my worst herx, pain so bad I was asking for morphine. I was on Alinia for months, I believe this med kills alot of bugs: parasites, bacteria, viruses and fungi. I felt like it was killing stuff deep in my bones that no other drugs had touched.

Sick since at least age 6, now 67. Decades of misdiagnosis. Numerous arthritic, neuro, psych, vision, cardiac symptoms. Been treating for 7 years, incl 8 mos on IV. Bart was missed so now treating that.

average joe,
You may want to ask about coartem. My LLMD is seeing good results with Mepron resistant strains of babs...

Wanting to up this.

Just starting on Alinia today. Part of my rotation of parasite meds.

Can anyone else share their experience? I have had such strong reactions to other parasite meds and waiting for the bomb to drop!

Paulieinct sounds like my experience. This is one powerful drug.

I started with this and boy it was very rough for me,sorry to say.

My germ load was very high and this stuff kills parasites ,babs, etc all at once.

I was on high dose and knowing what I know now I would have cut way back to avoid the nasty herx from hell
.All that said I think it is a good killing agent.
Stay on detox to get through it.
Also expect your pee to turn yellow, this freaked me out at first because I was pretty crazy at the time.
Use carefully. Go get em.

I am on day 2 now. Yesterday was very rough with alot of neuro. head pressure/ear/scalp stuff and a metallic taste in my mouth. By this afternoon I am feeling soo much better.

I have no symptoms at all today. I really feel that this is just the tip of the parasite iceberg but it is good to see a true herx; where I get really sick and then a few days later feel better then I did before I started.

I am doing alot of detox and colon cleansing as well.

Anyone else out there taking Alinia?
