I don't believe bart has flares. Burrascano doesn't mention flares for this illness, and I never noticed any when I treated it.

Thanks TF. So once you get over the initial hell herxes, what happens? I don't understand bart the way I did lyme cycles, etc. If the med is working, do you feel better and better? Or did you ever feel better then worse for a bit?

If the treatment is working, you should just start noticing bart symptoms going away. It could be subtle--like no more gut pain, no more red lines showing up, etc.

If you have a lot of central nervous system type symptoms, hopefully you will begin to really notice a difference.

I had practically no bart symptoms, so I didn't notice anything when treating bart, not even a herx on Levaquin.

Well - I have Bart and Bab and Lyme and I think I do have Bart flares - could be Babs or Lyme, but definitely is something other than daily life.

My flares are CNS: fear, anxiety, anger, rage - I get runaway thoughts and racing heart during the day and nightmares at night. [Mad]

Got the point were I can really recognize it coming and then I try not to do or decide anything important and try to take it easy. Easier said than done. [cussing] [rant]

I think Burrescano said Bart flares every 7 days (in the March 2011 DVD they recorded in CA) but I did not find that in myself - maybe covered up by the other infections and the drugs I am taking.

I cannot say how often it flares - maybe once a month? Maybe it is Lyme after all, but I think it is Bart since I get the burning, tingeling, pulsing soles and palms at the same time. And twitching calves.
