How long does it take Cowden to "build up" in your system?

I was doing ok, but now on day 29 and herx has been intense the past week. I got up to full dose on day 19. I have taken all drops and increased exactly like the protocol sheet instructions.

Is it ok to skip Cowden doses completely or cut back?

I have reduced the number of drops by a few several times and have also skipped a dose twice (the last time by accident last night, but I am feeling much better today!). Dr C does say to reduce ad if necessary to omit a dose if you are having a Herx.

I find that there are lots of periods of troughs, then they clear somewhat. I am about to start month 3 and have felt v weak, headachy, yeasty for the last week, but am relieved to have some improvement today. The periods when you feel worse don't necessarily coincide with a change of herb, as I haven't reached that stage yet.

Thanks for the info. I decreased the dose down to 22 drops for a couple of days and feel better. I am going to slowly ramp back to 30 drops.

Wow...that was a very intense herx!

oh boy, I have skipped so much: sometimes half days, sometimes whole days

taking abx and Cowden and my body is about to collapse, so I have to cut back

thanks for posting this question - I was wondering if the bugs can become resitent to the herbs if you don't dose correctly. Does anyone know?

I have no idea if the bugs can become resistant, but my herx eased up after decreasing the drops.

I slowly weaned back up to 30 drops and now feel much better!
