My natural MD thinks some of my arthritic pain might be from candida. I tested on the high end of normal. He told me there are diets i could follow to help eliminate candida. Can anyone recommend any good books to read to get started. Prefer shorter books or web sites to view. I'm a serious sugar junkie so this will not be easy for me.
Many thanks!!

Hi I am in the same boat! There are a few posts in medical regarding this. I posted one the other day entitled "snacks on anti yeast diet" or somethinglike that. People shared some great ideas that have really helped me get started if you want to take a peek. Good luck

When I had lyme, my lyme doctor advised me to go on the Body Ecology Diet. This was to avoid getting yeast from the treatment. I got the book from the library. There is also a website.
The author suffered with candida for years--maybe her entire life--and came up with the diet solution that finally set her free.
I began making my own kefir (got kefir grains from someone) and my doc also wanted me to make the cultured vegetables that she pushes. I did it for the first 3 months. It was a lot of work.
The kefir I really liked and continued making for some time. I read about it on kefir websites and believe it is a wonderful drink for everyone. I met a fellow from Russia who grew up drinking it and says that it is known to benefit the digestive tract greatly. He is still makiing it in the U.S.
Lots to read at the site and in her book. I believe Donna Gates is well-known among candida sufferers. I like the fact that she was a sufferer and not a doctor telling the sufferer what to do.
