Hi all,
When I thought I was in remission, I had a breakdown which led me to a therapist who gives me Zoloft. I can't believe how much better I feel since I began the Zoloft.

At least when I'm experiencing physical symptoms I'm not wanting to die so much. And some days the brain fog clears enough to have an intelligent conversation with my hubby.

I know it is not a cure, but it sure is helping me get thru this with a little smile and some laughter even thru the pain.

I don't know how anyone with Lyme gets thru it without an anti-depressant!!

Glad you feel better!

Depression can be genetic - as in my family . I developed it before lyme , and thank God for the meds! A low dose of zoloft or prozac give me a far better life . How awful it must have been to suffer with anxiety and depression and have NO treatment or hope of feeling better . Depression is a condition of the brain , not a character flaw , in most cases .

Thank goodness for antidepressants. Toward the end of my lyme treatment, I had a DVT(blood clot). That was the straw that broke the camels back.

After years of suffering with LD, I just couldn't handle another thing. I have been taking antidepressants and anti anxiety meds, plus going to therapy. Things are getting so much better.

I don't see how people get through this illness without these meds.
