i went to buy yucca root but all they had was yucca stalk. I don't know if they are the same. Anyone who uses yucca could u recommend a brand? Preferably powder or capsule so i can break it open.

I get mine from http://www.mountainroseherbs.com and have been using it for a long time without any problems.

They have bulk, organic, powdered yucca root. And it is less expensive from them than buying capsules of it at the health food store.

Razzle, I am using it for ammonia, which I understand can be a problem with lyme and I recently discovered I am homozygous for cbs.

I could be mistaken but haven't you discussed having issues with cbs as well? I just got molybednum and getting yucca. Have these helped you?

Yes, ammonia is a toxin produced by Lyme.

I too am homozygous for CBS.

Molybdenum is a godsend for me. Hugely helpful.

Make sure you get hydroxy-B12 or methyl-B12 also (avoid cyano-B12, it must be converted to hydroxy or methyl anyway).

Yucca helps a lot with ammonia. I was having problems with my body smelling like cat pee, until I started using the yucca root powder.

Now, as long as I take 1/8-1/4 teaspoon daily, I have no problems with the cat pee odor anymore.
