I have spent most of the past 6 months in bed. Daily IV's +Biaxin have exhausted me! Dr says not to pulse, but I have had to stop a few times due to intolerable herxing. I am beginning to wonder if it's worth it.
Yes, I have been sick for 20+ yrs. Yes, I see a very well known LLMD. But after 2 or 3 years of abx I think I should see more progress. I sometimes wonder if it's best to just accept that you have LD and live with it as well as you can.
My arthritic knees get worse and worse so that inspires me to keep going with abx.
No discussion re parasites has been had. Should I be taking something for that, too?
I have no appetite, eat gluten free, no sugar, junk, etc. But I lose none of the weight I gained suddenly. Pain doc says it is not from being idle it's from inflammation.
Memory, speech, cognition, fatigue...all are slightly, slightly improved. Thousands of dollars, thousands of hours and that sums it up. Is it really worth it???

Most LLMD's will periodically change your abx especially if you are not seeing progress. Also, mold, parasites and coinfections have to be discussed.
It might be time to find a new doctor.

A body full of toxins can't lose weight either.
Also, if you have untreated sleep apnea, thyroid problems or adrenal issues you won't lose weight.

My abx have been changed every 3 months until I started IVs last June. My blood work is also done every 3 mos.
My thyroid was removed in 1993. I take natural throid. I don't know how adrenals are tested.
I can now read, my speech is improved and family say I am much more alert. But even Dr wonders why I'm not improving more rapidly. Old med records from 1984 show rash, fatigue, arthritis...I've been sick a very long time.
